- Georgia State University, the second
largest of the thirty-three institutions comprising the
University System of Georgia, has the largest graduate
enrollment of any institution in the southeastern U.S.
The University offers nearly fifty undergraduate and
graduate degree programs covering some 200 fields to its
more than 24,000 students; a faculty of over 900
full-time members is distributed among the six colleges:
Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Education,
Health Sciences, Law, and Public and Urban Affairs. GSU
is a dynamic urban institution situated in downtown
Atlanta near the commercial centers along Peachtree
Street and the complex containing the Georgia capitol and
state office buildings.
