Novosibirsk and Its University

Novosibirsk is a big city with population over 2 million. It is an important administrative, industrial, and scientifics center in Western Siberia (a geographic region in the south-eastern Russia). Novosibirsk University is one of the top ten Russian Universities. It is located in Academgorodok (Academtown), some 20 miles from downtown Novosibirsk, in the Siberian Scientific Center comprising more than 30 research insitutes and the University.
