QWIP 2000 Workshop |
July 27-29, 2000 |
Dana Point, California, USA |
|
- First Announcement - |
|
Development in the quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP)
technology over the last two decades has led to the realization of large-format,
long-wavelength infrared cameras, now readily available commercially through several
manufacturers. The QWIP 2000 Workshop aims to bring together scientists, engineers,
industrial collaborators, students, and users to discuss recent advances in this field.
The conference will provide an international forum for attendees to present and discuss
new progress in device physics, materials growth and processing issues, focal plane array
development and characterization, as well as commercialization and applications of the
QWIP technology. The conference will also explore the benefits as well as drawbacks of
this technology, and find its role in the competitive market of thermal imaging
technology. The program will include invited talks, oral presentations, panel discussion,
as well as ample opportunities for informal interactions among conference participants. |
