1.     Solar energy conversion in natural and artificial systems.

2.    Time-resolved infrared spectroscopy of biological systems.

3.  Quantum chemical calculations of the properties of pigments in protein complexes.

4.    Infrared microscopy and nanoscopy for the study of biological systems.

5.    New instrumentation and methods in vibrational spectroscopy.
